Your Mission

Growing strong into its 6th year, Proximity School has been training and equipping Proximity Designs' nearly 1000 person team to better serve customers -- rural farm households. As the in-house talent development center of Proximity Designs, we work towards upskilling and reskilling our workforce by using the latest adult learning pedagogies and expertise of in-house social enterprise leaders.

 

As the Senior Talent Development Manager, you will manage the training functions (online and in-person) within the Proximity School team ensuring that training facilitation is of high quality, aligned with the latest adult learning pedagogy and consistent with the Proximity School brand. You will also work closely with the Head of Talent Development to lead the Proximity School team into the next phase of its growth, transforming our talent model into one that can develop our fiercely excellent team members who make an impact on the lives of millions of farmers, even in times of uncertainty.

 

Once You’re Here, You Will: 

  • Help identify ongoing talent development and performance needs within Proximity and propose appropriate innovations/solutions to address them. 
  • Work in collaboration with the Head of Talent Development to develop and execute adult skills building programs, integrating the highest caliber of learning design theory, digital and blended learning models and workforce development approach. 
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders to execute quality learning initiatives within Proximity.
  • Facilitate (online and in-person) core competency skills and manager trainings.
  • Design e-courses and guide others in designing them too.
  • Lead updates and modifications to School learning programs.
  • Control the quality of training programs through developing skilled training facilitators, utilizing the latest in adult learning pedagogy, and creating consistency between the training experience and Proximity School’s brand.

 

Must-Haves  

  • At least 5 years of expertise in fields related to digital learning, education, curriculum design, training facilitation and/or people analytics.
  • Project management experience to oversee talent development programs and initiatives within the organization.
  • People-building skills.
  • Fluency in speaking, writing and reading in Myanmar and English.
  • Social drive and a natural inclination towards co-creating open and collaborative organizational culture.
  • Curiosity to gain a deep understanding of the unique potential and challenges of our field and Yangon workforce.
